💥 Interested to know more about the combination of chemical engineering and electricity utilization? How can this combination help establishing true circularity? Do we need chemical conversion anyway? During the guest lecture ‘Catalytic Reaction and Reactor Engineering for Bio-Gas Valorization’, Joris Thybaut will delve deeper into how chemical reactor electrification brings low-emission, fully renewable-based chemicals and fuels production within reach.
🎤 The Interreg France-Wallonie-Vlaanderen sister projects OBIWAN Interreg FWVL Project, ValCelMat and COMPOVERT are joining forces to organize a joint series of guest lectures!
📅 When? Tuesday 28/04/2026, 09:30 - 12:00 (CET)
🌍 Where? Online via Microsoft Teams
🕓 Program:
09:30 OBIWAN introduction & Overview of catalytic reaction and reactor engineering for bio-gas valorization (Joris Thybaut, Ghent University)
10:20 ValCelMat introduction & Outline on challenges and context of cellulose valorisation – functionalization to produce high-performance materials (Alexis Spalletta, Université d'Artois)
11:10 COMPOVERT introduction & Insights into 3D printing as support for R&D (Maxence Renaux, Ph.D, IMT Nord Europe)
